Jeff shares the story about this unexpected, momentous experience.

In 1991, I was in a wonderful band with my friend, Cliff Eberhardt who was signed to Windham Hill Records at the time. We were opening for Rick Danko & Friends at the Lonestar Roadhouse in NYC and Gregg Allman happened to be in town and was special guest. After the first set, Gregg came up to our dressing room and asked our band if we wanted to come down to the stage and play some blues with him!

A few moments later I found myself on stage with one of my all time heroes. After we played the first song, “One Way Out”, Gregg leaned over to me and said ‘ Hey man, ya’ll play some mean slide guitar!” I responded ”Well…. I learned how to, from listening to all YOUR records!” Sparks flew and the rest is history!
